Summer Jobs

If you are a college student or graduate, and you would like to make a difference, come and share your summer building a safe, supportive camp community that helps children and teens:

develop their creativity
develop their skills
become more independent
improve their self-image
gain increased respect for themselves and others
improve their social skills
enhance their appreciation of their environment

We serve a coed, multicultural population of campers ranging in age from 8 to 15. Applicants should be at least 18 years old. Experience working with children is desirable. A summer spent making a difference in the lives of campers may also be a summer that makes a difference in your life.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Summer Camp

~ 2010 ~

bulletWe serve youth from inner city Milwaukee
bulletAges of campers:
bulletMain camp: 8- 13 years of age
bulletTeen  Leadership Camp: 14-15 years of age
bulletCIT’s : 16 & 17 years of age

 

Dates:

      All staff training: June 16 – 26

                  Session 1: June 29 - July 9

                              Session 2: July 12 - 22

                                          Mini Camp: July 22 & 23

                                                      Session 3: July 26- August 5

      Closing Staff Banquet: August 6 (optional)

Most Staff contracted:  June 16 – August 5

Directors/ Supervisors contracted : June 11 – August 7

      TIME OFF: 2 hours/day, 2 evenings/session, 2 ½ days between sessions

General requirements for ALL positions:

o   18 years of age or older

o   Genuine interest in building relationships with children in the outdoors

o   Ability to turn cell phone OFF when working

o   Ability to be self-less

o   Mature, playful, involved, adaptable, good judgment and self control
